The percentage of Americans saying that they approve of the job Barack Obama
is doing as president dropped to 41% in the Gallup
poll’s three-day tracking average, the lowest it has been since Dec. 28,
2011.
Obama’s approval rating plunged in polling data the evening after he gave a
rare afternoon press conference.
In Gallup’s three-day tracking period that ended on Thursday, Aug. 8, 44
percent had said they approve of the job he is doing and 46 percent said they
disapproved.
