Ministers suffered an embarrassing blow over their “Go Home” ad vans campaign
when watchdogs launched a new investigation into claims they are racist
today.
The Advertising Standards Authority acted after receiving 60 complaints that
the message to offensive and irresponsible.
The ads aimed at people here illegally were “reminiscent of slogans used by
racist groups to attack immigrants in the past”, according to critics.
